I am looking to buy a good car for cheap what they call a steal I have tried many sites and paid for them buy they all turn out to be scams as usual. Please anybody had good experience with any of these sites let me know what the website is. Or how to find those cars. I hear people say that I have to call banks and see if they have any.

    3. shelcom says:

Never buy a repossessed car. I’ve repossessed many and never found one in good condition. If people are irresponsible or unable to pay they can’t afford to maintain the car. Many people just beat on it as they know they’ll lose it anyway.

    4. Anonymous says:

Good luck, most car auctions won’t allow the general public into. Most of them are limited to dealers only, so that the dealers can bid on the cars they like and then turn around and sell them for a profit to us normal folks.

    5. mastermind says:

Are any of those goverment and repo car auctions and seized property sales sites with fees for info for real?
If so do a regular joe have a chance at the highly sought after cars and other items without a large amount of cash?

All of the free car website for seized and government vehicles are FREE!!!!!

The problem is the scammers have jambed up all the search engines so you cant find them — They are out there – Just look a little harder….

Here is an example of one site that has many auctions here in New York….. Save this site — They regularly have seized and surplus vehicles…

      http://www.auctionsinternational.com/

Heres another one…. Its wont be updated till march with a new schedule so save this page….

      https://www3.ogs.state.ny.us/surpluspublic/auction/calendarlist.asp

Contact your local county, city and other govt agencies and ask them when and where or whom manages there surplus, seized assets and they will tell you….

Pay no website for this info — Its all free if you look a little harder…..

    10. Alexander says:

I would recommend a site I use in my business (buying and selling large bulk lots of anything), and this site is GovernmentAuctions.org.

They have tons of media coverage, and the CEO’s been on CNBC, and they have faily good data and excellent support

As far as a new BMW, you’re not really going to find 2008 seized cars. Rather, your more likely to find 2003-2006 upscale cars like BMW, Mercedes and Lexus that have been seized by US Customs, IRS, or US Marshalls, and the price you’ll pay will probably be very good compared to a dealer, but auctions for these high end cars can get somewhat competative, and so don’t expect to get a steal on such a popular item as a high end car (although you can easily get steals on less popular or manageable items).

That said, you can still walk away with a nice car bargain at these auctions. Just do your research with bluebooks and such before you go in to bid, and don’t go above your predetermed maximum bid.

As far as California, I know of at least two regular federal government auctions that take place every several months at which these types of cars are sold, and GovernmentAuctions.org and their top-notch support staff will get you the info you need. They also have websites listed on which you can bid for US Marshalls and US Customs cars online, but I would not recommend doing that unless you physically inspected the car (which you can most of the time do), and they’ve started it for you (which they do).

For your reference, in my sources, I’ve posted a link to a video of one of these federal auctions at which seized vehicles are sold.

      Good luck.
